•   Developed hypotheses and disproved “myths” around mechanics’ sandbagging or front-loading hours and other potentially deceptive behaviors using historical data to build Tableau dashboards, enabling the team to focus on specific issues and ignore false-positives

•   Reduced burden of projecting and tracking build performance as well as comparing trends in historical build performances to improve understanding of projections by developing tools in both Excel and Tableau. Reduced three to four hour daily process to under an hour

•   Provided clients with interactive, Tableau-like tools to track individual mechanic performance developed in a highly-versatile macro-enabled workbook that would read data from Tableau, create an Excel workbook for each area with worksheets for each build in that area, and email workbooks to clients for their use in morning huddles

•   Scoped out and built preliminary simulation and cost-savings models for potential factory improvement schemes to pitch to client in addition to current work. Models covered staff variability pooling and manpower flexibility by cross-training employees and by implementing highly-trained “SWAT” team

•   Took a process from one week down to fifteen minutes by developing highly-interactive tools to track and benchmark project performance against a dynamic set of historical information, generating high-level insights into project progress and individual performance. This information fed into slides used weekly in discussions with COO and helped lead to project extension

•   Pioneered automation tools in order to run previous-day performance report every morning at 5am and dispatch results to clients with minimal human interaction using a variety of tools including Task Scheduler, VBA, and PowerShell

•   Created staffing resource allocation program from scratch using VBA and Python coding languages to enable client’s crew management software to assign production jobs based on skill and a variety of other factors rather than just availability.
